To Survive Online You Must Mastermind
Learn to To Survive Online
Just before Christmas I was lecturing in the Dublin Business School. I was approached by one of my students for some help with her project regarding a digital marketing strategy. She was also the owner of a business and needed some assistance. With little time I had, before I headed off home, I tried to share as much advice as possible. She said she was very grateful for my help, but she would love to employ me to help her with her business, but thought that I would be too expensive.
This got me thinking. Every single week I meet so many businesses struggling to try and make more sense of digital marketing. Sometimes they find that there is just too much information and are overwhelmed with all the tasks that need to be implemented and just do not know where to start.
I have found from lecturing on digital marketing, the most effective teaching tool is masterminding. In this specific context people come together in small groups with the goal of trying to devise ways of coming up with more innovative and creative ways to build their brand and position themselves as an authority in their market, thus driving traffic to their business and converting that traffic to paying customers.
Jack of all Trades
When you are trying to be the receptionist, cleaner, accountant, marketer, sales person, it is almost impossible to have enough energy let alone creative juices to put an effective digital marketing strategy together and take over the world!
Going back to my student who approached me for advice. It really stayed with me, when she said that I would be too expensive. I decided to set up a mastermind group online in which entrepreneurs, business owners and start ups can log in to a live webinar. Mastermind groups offer a combination of brainstorming, education, peer accountability and support in a group setting to sharpen your business and personal skills. A mastermind group helps you and your mastermind group members achieve success.
I have found in the past that participants challenge each other to set important goals, and more importantly, to accomplish them. The group requires commitment, confidentiality, willingness to be creative and brainstorm ideas and solutions . Mastermind group members act as catalysts for growth, devil’s advocates and supportive colleagues.
So if you are a business owner, entrepreneur or start up and need to get some strategy , direction and support in your business, join us. Please check updates on my websitefor the next Mastermind session.
